Born in Madrid (Spain), David Ruiz, Bachelors in Business Administration and Specializing in Traffic and Ground Transportation Control Systems (ITS), when he came to Brazil, in 2012, decided to develop a consulting and advisory work that could approach the Government of the necessary actions to be implemented in time to plan, legislate, regulate and supervise the different modes of transport and infrastructure that form part of urban mobility in the cities.
With an experience of over 25 years in international projects in the areas of traffic and transport in countries like: Spain, Greece, Portugal, Algeria, Egypt, India, Malaysia, P. R. China, Singapore, Venezuela and USA, in 2016, inaugurates the UrbanTrans – Solutions in Urban Mobility
, a company that, in addition to performing works by the Public Administration, also provides Consulting and Specialized Technical Advice to private entities, associations, consortia and cooperatives in the areas of public transportation, urban mobility and logistics.
During his working life, David participated in various technical courses with a focus on Management of Urban Mobility, Management of Urban Projects, Urban Regeneration and Planning and Managing the Scope of Projects, carried out by entities such as: Ministry of Cities, Caixa Economica Federal, Inter-American Development Bank-IDB, National Association of Public Transport-ANTP, SENAC, World Bank (World Bank Group), Getúlio Vargas Foundation– FGV and Technological Park of São José dos Campos, SP.
Currently he works as an independent consultant in the Foundation for Scientific and Technological Development (FDCT) of the São Paulo State University-UNESP, holds the position of Director of the Urban Mobility Department in the municipality of Cruzeiro-SP, is a Member holder of the Municipal Council of Urban Mobility in the municipality of Caçapava-SP (COMMU) and provides advisory services to the Cooperative of Work and Services of the Passengers Transportation (COOPERLOTAÇÃO) in the municipality of São Vicente-SP.
